In addition to our wide range of air and hydro vacuum excavation equipment, Pro-Vac (formerly Kantex) utilizes mechanical equipment on much of our work. This equipment is comprised of the following:
- Two-ton truck mounted PDI auger rig for distributed “surface” anode beds.
- Ditch Witch RT 70 used on AC mitigation projects and when test stations are required to be located near fence lines far from attachment location. Ideal trencher for deeper trenches in hard and/or rocky soil conditions.
- Four-wheelers and side-by-side ATVs. Used on rebranding projects and are typically equipped with auxiliary antennas for Tremble Geo 7x submeter GPS units.
- Bobcat E 42 mini excavators are oftentimes used in conjunction with our vac crews to complete deep CP installations or demo existing CP structures.
- Bobcat 873 skid-steer loaders are used for many different applications but primarily for handling pipe bedding material. Attachments for trenching and excavator are also used.
- Case DH5 trencher used on AC mitigation projects and where test station needs to be placed some distance from attachment location. Typically used in good soil conditions where trench does not need to be deep.
- Hammerhead pneumatic pushers are used on a daily basis by our municipal crews for offset and vault test stations
